Shop Local-Keep it in Sandbridge! The Sandbridge Beach Business Association not only contributes to
the community but it promotes all businesses, no matter what the size. The SBBA recognizes how
important small and independent businesses are to the economic vitality of Sandbridge, and we want to
help ensure their growth and vitality.

Here is what we can do to help your business:

  • Meet with other business owners & grow your business
  • Be your voice at City Council
  • Word of mouth advertising – member to member

Some significant contributions the SBBA has made to our community include:

  • Providing Trash Cans, Recycling Cans, and Doggie Trash Bags at the Public Beach Access Ways
  • Sponsoring the “Sandbridge for Everyone Campaign”, ensuring Virginia Beach adopts and
    enforces reasonable regulations to maintain a peaceful environment while not threatening the
    viability of the rental market that is a hallmark of our community.
  • Sought and obtained the “Blue Wave Beach” designation, demonstrating the commitment of
    both the SBBA and Sandbridge Civic League in promoting a healthy and ecologically maintained
    public beach.
  • Lobbied for additional public access walkways and seasonal City beach cleaning (now in its third
  • Contributing to the Sandbridge Civic League Scholarship, which helps a deserving Sandbridge
    student to help with first year college expense.
  • Participating in the annual Sandbridge Beach Pig Pickin’ with the SBBA Wine Tent, and a food
    sponsor for the Civic League Oktoberfest party.
  • Participating in public debate on current topics of interest, such as Short Term Rentals and
    Nimmo Parkway Extension.
